About Luca Rossi

Luca Rossi has a profound knowledge of the dog’s mind. He’s the founder and director of the C.S.d.C.Italia, an educational institution that incorporates and disseminates paw-sitive training methods all over Italy directing its initiatives towards simple dog lovers as well as experts in this field. In particular the 80’s and 90’s can be considered to be the most important period of Luca Rossi’s professional education as well as his activities in the field of dog training.

1983

Luca Rossi is one of the founders and future president of the Italian Dog Rescue School in Fidenza, Emilia Romagna, Italy.
Lucas German Shepard Sirio earned the Surface Tracking Dog Certificate as well as the Disaster Dog Certificate under the evaluation of the official Judge and trainer of the Italian Kennel Club ENCI Roberto Barbieri.
Luca Rossi enrols for the Search and Rescue dog trainer courses UCIS(Italian Search and Rescue Team) earning the qualification to becoming an official UCIS Search and Rescue Dog Trainer.
Luca Rossi starts his intense and profound studies about the dog’s mind as well as the different learning theories while working together with all different European Schools in particular in Sweden, Switzerland and France.

1984

Founder of the dog training centre Centro Studi Del Cane Italia.
Luca Rossi is one of the founders of the Disaster Dog Training Centre in Fidenza, Emilia Romagna, Italy.

1985

Luca Rossi takes part in a series of real and simulated disaster responses both at regional and provincial level. He works in the field of disaster search locating persons buried under rubble as well as area search tracking and trailing missed people.

1986/1987

Assumes the presidency of the Search and Rescue Dog Team in Fidenza, Emilia Romagna, Italy, and organises all different training and formation initiatives concerning the preparation of utility dogs for general public.
Takes part in the Italian Search and Rescue Training Course UCIS lead by Antonio Bellò, instructor of the Italian border control unit (Guardia di Finanza).

1988

He’s invited to conduct training courses for dog handlers at the Slovenian Disaster Dog School in Capodistria and Kranj, Slovenia.
He’s invited to function as adviser at theRescue Dog School Association of Cremona, Italy.

1989

Luca Rossi is the Italian representative at the International Rescue Dog Symposium in Folgaria, Trento.
Launches the technical collaboration with the Swiss Disaster Dog Association, canton Ticino, the Grisons, and St Gall.
Takes part in training courses for Avalanche Rescue Dog Trainers Plan de Corones Riscone Val Pusteria.

1990

Appointment by the Italian Ministry of the Interior to the Manovra Europa 90, a disaster control activity, directly coordinated by the Ministry for Disaster Control.
Appointment by the Italian Ministry for Disaster Control to the Manovra Livorno 5.
Luca Rossi coordinates the preparation of Helicopter Rescue Teams boarding SAR dogs in cooperation with SAR Search and Rescue Helicopters in Linate, Milan.

1991

Establishes the Search and Rescue Dog School in Salsomaggiore Terme, Emilia Romagna, Italy.
Qualifies in second place at the Italian Search and Rescue Dog Association Championship Fedics, disaster dogs Cremona.
He prepares a group of students for earning the Area Search Certificate locating missed persons as well as the Disaster Dogs Certificate.
Lucas dog Sirio earns the Fedics Certificate for area search dogs.

1993

He’s the Italian representative at the International Rescue Dog Symposium in Stockholm organised by the Swedish Working Dog Association.
Luca starts a close cooperation with trainers and behaviourists of the Swedish School Swedish Working Dog Association organising as well a number of dog training courses together with the Swedish trainer Inky Sjosten in Italy.
Assumes the technical running of the Dog Training School “Casa di Lilla” in Parma, Italy.
He’s the founder of two Dog Training Centres incorporating the Gentle Method by focusing on Positive Reinforcement. On the one hand the training centres Le Tre Fontane in Parma together with Mauro Gavioli and on the other hand the training centre Dei Guappi in cooperation with Luigi Bocchi of the Italian Veterinary Association in Parma.

1994

Starts the technical cooperation with the dog training centre Centro Cinofilo del Biancospino in Pavia.
Conducts dog training courses and fun learning activities at the training centre Biancospino in Pavia.
He conducts the dog training instructor education courses at the training centre Biancospino. He collaborates as an author at the Biancospino News magazine.

1995

Author of the book “Al Cuore Del Cane” in order to achieve a better understanding of dogs.
